This category of visa caters for people wishing to stay in Spain for a period maximum 3 months and may be applied if the person does not have a guarantor in Spain and buys a tour in a travel agency, or make a booking of tickets and hotel.

Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of 755.93 DOP /- payable in cash. Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.
The application form for the original Schengen visa must be duly completed and signed by the applicant in blue ink. Two recent photographs (35-45 mm) with the applicant on a white background must be attached to the application form. The application form must be completed correctly, providing all the information requested on the form, including the postal address, the email address and a telephone number.
In the case of minors (under 18 years of age), the application form must be signed by both parents. Along with the form, photocopies of the passports of both parents will be included. If the parents do not have passports, proof of the identity recognized by the Government and bearing the signatures of the parents must be produced.
The passport can not have been issued more than ten years ago. The applicant's passport must have at least two blank pages and must be valid for at least three months after the end of the intended stay. A photocopy of all pages of the passport must be submitted. The Consulate General of Spain in Santo Domingo requires the sending of a photocopy of all pages (including blank pages, previous visas and tickets) of the current passport and the first passport or passports that have already expired.
In addition to the passport, the applicant must present a copy of his national identity document. For foreigners copy of their valid residence permit.
Likewise, two recent photographs (2x2) of the applicant must be presented on a white background.
The applicant must include a labor letter explaining in detail the position he holds, salary and seniority in the company. All letters must also include details of the company, ie, institution seal, RNC and contact numbers of the responsible person.

Likewise, extracts from the original personal bank accounts of the applicant covering the last 6 months must be included for the Spanish Embassy, with the original stamp and the signature or authorized signature of the bank. Extracts from bank accounts on the internet will not be accepted. This is a mandatory directive.
Please note for the Consulate General of Spain in Santo Domingo the minimum closing balance in personal bank statements will be a sum equivalent to or higher than € 589.68 per person and for the minimum period of stay. For longer stays, applicants must show an additional amount of approximately € 65.52 per day per applicant.
A travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros covering all expenses that could be incurred in connection with medical repatriation, emergency medical care and / or emergency hospital care. The insurance must be valid for the territory of the Member States of the European Union. The duration of insurance coverage must include the entire period of stay.
Applicants are advised that only travel medical insurance issued by some Dominican insurance companies will be accepted. However, applicants can obtain this insurance in any other country in which claims against the insurance company can be obtained in a Schengen state. Aircraft reservations must be included.
In case of minors:
Minors who submit a visa application, if they do not travel in the company of both parents, must present authorization for the departure of minors from both parents or, failing that, from any parent who is not accompanying him or her on the trip, duly notarized. As well as unexplained birth certificate for the last 3 months.
The applicant may submit any other document that he deems appropriate and that supports his request. If the applicant is not a national of the Dominican Republic, he must include proof of legal residence (Residence permit).
Applicants for visas from a family group must provide evidence of the existence of family links with the main applicant by means of documents to be provided with the visa application, for example:

At the time of filing, BLS International will accept photocopies of the document after verifying them with the original. Without the original can not be presented, a photocopy of the original must be presented. In applications for visas of a family group and with respect to documents submitted with the visa application (such as marriage certificate, birth certificate), only those that are written in Spanish or with a legal translation .
Note that if the documents are in a regional language, they must be translated into Spanish by a language institute with the official seal and the signature of the translation institute or agency. The above mentioned documents (such as birth certificate or marriage certificate) will not be accepted in regional languages.

Warning: Please follow these instructions carefully. The photographs presented must coincide with the biometric photograph, if not similar, its application will be considered incomplete. The application center has a photographic booth that meets these requirements and guarantees accuracy in the process.
Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at the Embassy of Spain/Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from Embassy of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days (It may delay depending on case to case).
All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.
Kindly note if application submitted in Satellite centre, it may take up to 48-72 hours in transit to Santo Domingo. All the applications received from Satellite centers will be sent to Embassy/Consulate on next working day
Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.
Applicants submitting the applications towards the Embassy of Spain, Santo Domingo with short processing time will be required to fill up the Declaration form.
All Application submitted at visa application centre should have English/Spanish Application forms only.
